After much consideration,  we have decided to cancel this year's Science Fair, originally scheduled for March 26 . This was a difficult decision to make and we acknowledge that many of our families will be disappointed. Preparing for the Science Fair requires time, energy, and weeks of preparation from numerous volunteers, parents and students; due to the uncertainty regarding evening events in the upcoming weeks, we wanted to provide as much notice as possible. Twain PTSA, in partnership with LWSD and Lake Washington PTSA Council is excited to host the parent education talk - Nurturing to Independence.  This presentation focuses on the importance of giving children responsibility from a young age. By giving children a sense of purpose and responsibility, they can increase self-mastery which, in turn, increases self-esteem. Coach Sheri from Teen Wise will discuss the struggle with letting our kids discover their independence while still maintaining their safety.
