Our mission is to be a strong voice for children and a resource for our families, school, and community. We will do this by supporting programs and activities that advocate for children's well-being and enhance our school community.

Bookmark Design Contest Finalists & Winners

The 2nd annual bookmark design contest was a great success, we had 222 entries to sort through and narrow down to five finalists per grade division. It is very clear that Twain has some incredibly talented young artists, the selection process was difficult!
Congratulations to our winners & finalists and thank you to everyone who participated in this event! The winning bookmarks will be printed and available in the library in the next couple weeks.

Calling all scientists! The Twain Science Fair is March 21st and registration is due Friday, February 23rd.
The Science Fair is a chance for kids to be curious, ask questions, and share what they learn. For more information and to complete the online registration, please visit the science fair page. The Science Fair is open to all Twain students!

A few weeks ago, each Twain class experienced original art first-hand thanks to our team of docents and the NW Art Project.
Many thanks to Nicki Schulman, NW Art Project Program Lead for all you do! This includes creating an amazing presentation, leading the docent training, providing talking points, and doing so much to make this year's program a huge success! To Malaika Silliker, who served as second in command leading 2 days of discussions, helping set up and take down the exhibit, and just being a crucial support, thank you! This committee finds candidates for President, VP, Secretary, and Treasurer -- it's one of the most important committees of our PTSA and only runs for 3 months (now – Apr).

On Thursday, February 1st, we had our second PTSA meeting of the year. We had a great, wide-ranging discussion on a variety of topics including field trips, school security, upcoming events, and SEL strategies like restorative conversations to model at home.
