Bobcats, There Is Still Time to Submit Your Artwork!

We are a couple of weeks away from the deadline for 2024-2025 Reflections Entries! Reflections is a National PTA arts in education program.
Students have the opportunity to use their creative talents to express themselves through their own original works created around the theme "Accepting Imperfection", Please visit the Reflections page for further details. Please first read through the rules regarding submission. Deadline for entries is 11/1/24. Questions? email Kristy Lu at Reflections@twainptsa.org.

We would like to take a moment to thank ALL the amazing Block Party volunteers! PTSA Block Party 2024 was a HUGE success because of YOU! Thank you for being the driving force behind this important event that builds and celebrates our amazing and vibrant community. Know that you have made a profound impact at Mark Twain. Memories that will last the school year and beyond were made at this great kick-off event.
Our first thanks goes to Team Leaders McGinnes Ladd and Kim Christensen. These two rockstars worked immensely hard before the school year even began to make sure our community had a well-executed and super fun family event. Read on for full list of volunteers.

Natural Leaders

We would like to share this opportunity to represent Twain Elementary as part of the Natural Leaders Academy. Natural Leaders is a group of family members who represent the BIPOC, refugee, immigrant and/or first generation families who would like to make connections and be involved in our school community. Natural Leaders is a program overseen by the Washington Alliance for Better Schools and acts as a support group for families as they navigate the school years. The Staff Appreciation Committee is planning a pot-luck lunch for Twain Elementary teachers and staff on October 22nd and we need a few more donations and volunteers!

In support of our primary goal to support education, Twain PTSA regularly awards money to offset classroom expenses and fund academic enrichment through the EZ GRANT program. Twain students, families, and educators are welcome to apply for funding. Fall submissions are due October 25.
Past grants have funded emergency supplies, lighted stop signs for crosswalk staff, library books, musical instruments, and sensory supports. Click here for more information.
