Mark Twain PTSA, in partnership with Studio East, is happy to announce "Space Pirates" as the 2024-2025 school play! 

Participation in the school play is for Twain 4th and 5th grade students only and limited to the first 50 registered.

-The FIRST STEP is to please review this PARENT INFORMATION PACKET for specific program details including rehearsal schedules, and chaperone and committee participation requirements for the student’s parents/guardians. Information on how to register and secure your child's spot is located in this packet.

Parent/ Guardian Information Packet

After you have registered your student, you will receive the audition sign up link. Auditions will be held after school on Wednesday, 10/9 and Thursday, 10/10. Each student is asked to sign up for one  40-minute audition timeslot.  

Auditions will help Studio East cast each student in their role.  

All students auditioning will participate in the play.  

 

 

Please note that to participate in the school play the following must be completed: 

  • Parent Information Packet: The student’s Parent/Guardian must carefully review this packet to ensure they understand both the parent/guardian and student responsibilities as well as the time commitment required of both the student and the parent/guardian to participate. 
  • Registration: Student families must register and pay the $185 program fee*. Current PTSA membership is required for parent/guardian chaperones. Registration information is in the Parent Information Packet linked above. 
  • Registration confirmation email will contain: 
    • Audition Sign Up Link: Sign up your student for one audition time slot on either October 9th or 10th.  
    • Student Information Form to complete. 
    • A notice that you will be added to the school play email list to receive additional play information. 
  • Mandatory Virtual Meeting: Parents must attend the meeting on October 7 at 7:00 pm. Link will be sent via email to all registered families and posted above for those interested.
  • Parent Participation: You will receive sign up forms for Parent Committee and Parent Chaperone shifts. Links will be sent via email to registered families.

 

*If the program fee poses a financial hardship for your family, please reach out to our school's Guidance Counselor,  Denise  DeWalt at  ddewalt@lwsd.org. It is important to Twain PTSA that all students have an opportunity to participate!
