Explore Art Docent Training-- Docents Needed

Explore Art! brings art curriculum to every student at Twain.

It is a purely volunteer-led program that is sponsored by the PTSA.

We are looking for willing volunteers who would like to be a part of their child's classroom. NO SPECIAL ART SKILLS REQUIRED.

Volunteers receive training to become art docents who facilitate pre-planned, grade-level appropriate lessons in art elements, principles and techniques.

Art encourages creativity, fine motor skills, problem solving, neural connections and processing of emotions.

The lessons occur monthly and culminate in an exhibition at the end of the school year called the Gallery Walk, where families can visit and enjoy a gallery filled with paintings, drawings, clay sculptures, and other works of art created by our students.
