The Show DID Go On!

12/4/2024 6:46 am

Despite the widespread power outages and school closures of last week, the show DID go on!

The Mark Twain PTSA and Studio East production of the 4th and 5th grade play, Space Pirates, was performed in our very own Twain cafeteria.

We have so many people to thank who contributed to all stages of the show, and in particular, we'd like to thank our principal, Malia Goodfellow, who really made this happen for our students. She enthusiastically opened up the building and got everyone on board with moving the play to Twain. Typically this show is held at Lake Washington High School, but because they didn't have power, we had to quickly change course and she was so supportive in this effort.

Additionally, a giant Space Pirate THANK YOU also goes out to McGinnes Ladd and Tonya Alblas, our parent producers who not only worked tirelessly on all aspects of this performance, they really pulled out ALL the stops, moving mountains to make sure the show could still happen. The Twain PTSA and our parents and families involved with the show, are so grateful to all three of you amazing people. The performances were wonderful and the kids have memories that will last a lifetime!
