Reflections 2024-25: Mark Twain Elementary Winners

Congratulations to Twain Artists Natalie Whitbeck and Anika Alampally for advancing to the state level of the National PTA Reflections program and to Amelie Lee for receiving an honorable mention for their "Accepting Imperfection" Reflections entries!

 

Join us on Friday at the LWPTSA Reflections Open House as we showcase and celebrate the original works of art created by student artists from Twain and other local PTAs who participated in this year’s National PTA Reflections art contest, and see the winning Council-level selections moving on to Washington State PTA judging! Please attend with family and your friends! Stop by the Open House on Friday, Jan 24th, 2024 between 6:30pm - 8pm at the LWSD Resource Center in Redmond.

 

Congratulations to ALL our artists! We are so proud of all of you for such great submissions!

 

Of the Twain artists that advanced to the Lake Washington PTA Council for Reflections judging, these three were specifically recognized:

Natalie Whitbeck, grade 5: "Finding Perfection in Imperfection" was honored with Outstanding Interpretation in the Literature category.

Anika Alampally, grade 5: "Puppy love is pure and true" was honored with the Award of Excellence in the Visual Arts category.

Amelie Lee, grade 5: "Perseverance" was honored with the Award of Merit in the Visual Arts category.

 

This year, 329 entries from 39 local schools advanced to the Lake Washington PTA Council-level Reflections competition. From that, 66 entries have advanced to the Washington State PTA level round. Each entry was evaluated by independent judges.
